I have three students planning to join our meeting today. If you haven’t yet, reach out with your email address, and I will send an invite your way. Essay 5 will be read outloud and turned in on Monday; I’m looking forward to hearing your work!!
This is the rubric I am using to grade your outlines.
Each item is the same as what has been expected since the beginning of class except the heading. I am giving you the 10 points for the heading for Essay 5, so please to not fret when you see a 0 in that spot. I add it to your score at the end.
For future outlines, the heading will be expected.👍🏼
If you turned your outline in before receiving this rubric, you are free to make corrections and resubmit your outline for appropriate credit❤️.
Next Monday we will read your essays outloud! Here is what you need to be prepared and to receive full credit on your work:
-All items listed on your syllabus are to be turned in and included in your essay.
-Essays will be graded using the rubric on page 112 and the formatting guidelines below.
-A rough draft of Essay 5 can be turned in on Wednesday to be proofread and returned to you. You may share your essay over Google Docs to arrows.olives@gmail.com
-NEW FORMAT: As discussed in class, your outlines and essays must be turned in using the format below. If you need any help with this, I am available on Wednesday at 2p to go over the expectations and how to do them on either Google Docs or Word.
Formatting for Outlines and Essays
There is NO CLS on Monday❤️❤️! Here is what we’re going to do to stay on schedule. Please pause, take a breath, and read the following carefully so you won’t be behind.
Turn in your homework by either sending a picture of it over text (630 429 8429) OR sending an attachment over email: arrows.olives@gmail.com
Plan to join me for class on Monday at 1p over ZOOM. I will give you all the information you need to know to begin your Essay, which is due the following Monday, February 2nd.
I will also be available on Wednesday at 2p over ZOOM. I am happy to teach the lesson again on that call. So please choose which day works best for you.

Remember to read your syllabus carefully. There are items you are to highlight within your essay. There are items we learned in past lessons that you need to include in this paper. 🙌🏼
